Knee Pain and how to fix it

Do you suffer with knee pain?
You are not alone, many people have trouble with their knees and often this stems from muscular imbalances within the hips or a weak core.

Any sport that requires alot of impact through the knees can lead to potential injuries such as ITBS (Iliotibial Band Syndrome), Patella Teninopathy (jumpers knee) or Patella Femoral Syndrome (runners knee). All of these injuries occur through overuse or increasing intensity too soon, we've all been guilty of that at one time or another. Resting from these activities in the short term will aid recovery but you also need to look at a longer term plan.

One of the best ways to correct this or even better, to prevent knee issues happening in the first place, is to stretch and strengthen the muscles surrounding the knee's. Keeping the quadriceps, hip flexors and hamstrings loose via massage, self stretches or foam rolling is key to healthy knees.

Once you have stretched the tight tissues you need to strengthen to prevent injury from re occurring. To help you get started we have 2 of the best exercises to help keep your knees happy.

Finding out exactly what is causing your knee's to ache or be painful is the first step to fixing them. Getting more detail into what is going on with your knee's is really simply, just book to speak to one of our friendly team and we help you.
