We get asked all the time which are the most common areas we treat as sports massage therapists. To be honest it varies and we cover most muscular-sketetal issues so we really do see it all.
Having a title like sports massage can often put people off coming to see us, but we are able to treat conditions such as dystonia gently with tools such as myofascial release, Swedish or deep tissue massage and assisted stretching such as Muscle Energy Technique (MET). These are all ways to gently address muscle tension.
Piriformis Syndrome is literally a pain in the backside. It is caused when the piriformis muscle (located in the buttock region) spasms causing pain, numbness and tingling along the back of the leg and into the foot. In this blog, we look at the causes, symptoms and treatment, plus exercises and stretches to help prevent and treat the condition.
#GivingTuesday is a day to do Good Stuff for charity. So, if you are booked in for a treatment today we will donate £5 from each appointment to Coventry Winter Night Shelter, and there will be a little gift for each of you. “A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.”
Are you Race Ready? We offer sports massage support packages to get you in top condition. Treatments are specifically tailored for you and the event you are training for. So whether you are training for a half-marathon, a cycling road race, a triathlon or a track and field athletics meet, we've got your back.
